Annual Events

FCEE plans a variety of fundraisers every year to support orphanages in Ukraine. Some events (like the Walk for Orphans and Orphanpalooza!) are held annually and have proven to be very successful, while others have been feature on a limited basis in the history of our organization. FCEE is always looking for new ideas to get more people involved and raise more money, so feel free to let us know if you have any! Below is a sample of activities we have done in the past:

Walk for Orphans
Fall
Our kick-off event of the year, the Walk for Orphans allows Alma College students to explore campus and downtown Alma for a small fee. In addition, students can purchase raffle tickets for the chance at winning fabulous prizes (ranging from tee shirts to electronics)!

Orphanpalooza!
Winter
Do you have a beautiful voice or musical talent you want to share with our community? Then Orphanpalooza! is your chance to shine!! Or if you feel shy, you can still come for a good time and appreciate the talent of your fellow students! Also, you can purchase Ukraine map and "I Heart Orphans" tees at this event!

Pizza One Benefit Night
Winter
In this event, FCEE partners with Pizza One to donate a portion of sales on that day to our cause. All you have to do is visit Pizza One and order whatever you like. Most importantly, you can use your Munch Money to pay!!! So you get to enjoy good food and help out a good cause!

Mr. Alma Beauty Pageant
Fall
In this event, male students from our campus compete in various categories to gain the coveted title of Mr. Alma. Participants face off through talent, swimsuit, and Q&A competitions!

Flag Football
Winter
Different teams battle in an intense game of flag football to crown a champion! Money is raised in the form of an entrance fee.

Puppy Love
Fall
Who doesn't love puppies? On this day, FCEE allows you to "borrow" one for a short period of time. You can take your puppy for a walk around campus, or attempt to teach it a trick if you feel adventurous!

Valentine's Day Gift Basket Raffle
Winter
Purchase a raffle ticket (or six!) for the opportunity to win big and impress your significant other! The basket usually includes a myriad of prizes, ranging from DVDs, tee shirts, and keychains to coupons for local businesses and Alma College apparel!!
